Your files never leave your Mac
Paradise PDF is a native macOS application. All PDF processing, including merging, splitting, compression, OCR, and conversion, happens entirely on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to any server, and we have no infrastructure to receive them.
What we collect
We collect the minimum amount of personal information necessary to operate the service:
- Your email address, provided when you purchase a license or sign up for the beta programme
- Your license key, sent to our server only during license validation (no document data is transmitted)
The Paradise PDF app does not include any analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party data collection tools. See the "Website analytics" section below for details on how the website uses Google Analytics.
How we use your email
Your email address is used solely for:
- Delivering your license key after purchase
- Sending beta programme updates (if you signed up for the beta)
- Responding to support requests you initiate
We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties.
License validation
When the app validates your license, it sends only the license key string to our server. No document data, file names, usage statistics, or device identifiers are transmitted.
Payment processing
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details on our servers. Stripe handles all payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy.
App: no tracking or telemetry
The Paradise PDF desktop app does not include any analytics SDKs, telemetry, or tracking code. We do not track how you use the app, which tools you use, or how often you open it. The app works entirely offline and sends no usage data whatsoever.
Website analytics
This website (paradisepdf.com) uses Google Analytics 4 (property ID: G-8E3D08YE8Q) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects anonymous usage statistics such as page views, referral sources, and general geographic region. This data helps us improve the website and understand which pages are most useful.
Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser. No personally identifiable information is collected through GA4, and we do not combine analytics data with any other data we hold about you.
If you prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, use a browser that blocks third-party scripts, or disable JavaScript. A cookie consent banner will be added to the website in a future update.
To be clear: this analytics tracking applies only to the website. The Paradise PDF app collects no analytics data of any kind.
Data retention
Your email address and license information are retained for as long as your license is active. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove it within 30 days. Contact us at [email protected] to make a request.
